Our approach to home care is simple: If we provide outstanding one-on-one care and assistance in the home environment, our clients can remain living comfortably and confidently in their own homes for as long as possible. 

No one wants a revolving door of carers who don’t have the time to really get to know the person, their schedule or care needs. That is why we always pay more than the award rate to ensure we can attract the right workers who have a genuine interest in long-term relationships and quality of care over time.

What will you be doing:
  • Providing companionship and dementia care
  • Assisting people to perform important daily activities
  • Facilitating daily personal hygiene and dressing tasks
  • Performing home based tasks such as food preparation and housework
  • Undertaking tasks outside the home such as shopping and taking clients to appointments and group activities

By getting to know our clients individually, you will help them engage in rewarding activities and discussions that interest them, enhance their wellbeing and self-esteem, and increase their sense of self-worth.

Skills and requirements:
  • Applicants MUST have a Certificate III in Aged Care
  • Previous experience as a support worker in the Aged Care and/or Disability Sector
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured motor vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills and genuine customer service
  • Evidence of Flu and all COVID vaccinations
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Police Check conducted within the last 3 months
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening (if working with NDIS participants)
  • Own reliable smartphone with internet access
  • Manual Handling Certificate
  • CPR/BLS Certificate

We currently have multiple positions available for Support Workers who are passionate about providing high quality care to our aged care clients across the Newcastle Hunter regions.

Employment status: Casual with a view to permanent part-time/full-time for suitable candidates.

Hourly rate: $36-$39/hr, based on experience and qualifications. Penalty rates also apply. Pay rates are regularly reviewed to ensure fairness and satisfaction is maintained.
