Home Care Funding
We can help you navigate the government home care funding process or you can choose to pay privately.
Depending on your circumstances, there is a range of home care funding options available to give you access to in-home care, including:
- Funding under the Commonwealth Home Support Program
- Funding under the National Disability Insurance Scheme
- Home Care Packages
Or, you can choose to pay privately.
Read more about these home care funding options below and contact us to discuss the best arrangement for you.
Private Pay
Services can be arranged if you’re an existing Pearl client, if managing the government package yourself, or if you pay from private funds.
Pearl is flexible and provides all of our supporting services to self-managed consumers and to private pay clients.
Speak to your Pearl customer service consultant about your needs and we will work with you to achieve a comprehensive care plan that you can afford.
Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) helps senior Australians access entry-level support services to live independently and safely at home.
The CHSP works with you to maintain your independence rather than doing things for you.
If you’re having trouble with everyday tasks and feel that a little support could improve your health and wellbeing, the CHSP could be right for you.
To be eligible for this program, you must be aged:
- 65 years or older (50 years or older for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people), or
- 50 years or older (45 years or older for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) and on a low income, homeless, or at risk of being homeless.
A face-to-face assessment will determine eligibility and ensure that the right services are made available to those that need them.
If your needs are more complex, a Home Care Package could be better suited to you.
Home Care Package (HCP)
Home Care Packages for ageing Australians
Home Care Packages (HCPs) help seniors to access affordable care services so that they are able to stay living in their homes as they age.
The packages are supported by the government and provide financial support towards help so you can remain living independently for as long as possible.
HCPs are open to all Australians requiring coordinated assistance in the home and assessments are free.
Ready to be assessed?
Pearl can arrange to sit with you during your free HCP assessment, just call us on 1300 688 118 and we’ll organise for someone to be with you.
Once the assessment is over, we’ll work with you to tailor a Pearl Home Care Package to fully suit your needs. This is the part we love. We get to sit with you, or your family and carers and get to know who you are and what you need. Then, we’ll work with your list of personal priorities, with information from the assessors, your budgets and daily routines to come up with the perfect in-home care solution.

The NDIS is an initiative of the Australian Government supporting Australians living with permanent and significant disabilities.
The program allocates funding to individuals in need to help with support and services.
Pearl’s specialised coordinators have excellent understanding of how the complex NDIS program works and can help you navigate the scheme and show you how to make the most of funding and support.
