Matt, one half of the Pearl Home Care – Murrumbidgee ownership duo, originally hails from Sydney but has found his home in the heart of Murrumbidgee alongside his young family. Drawn to the region by its vibrant lifestyle and strong sense of community, Matt brings a wealth of business acumen and leadership experience to the table. With a background in Aged and Disability Care, Matt has seamlessly navigated roles in HR Management, Partnership Management, and Senior Manager positions. His extensive management journey spans over a decade, including significant contributions to some of Sydney’s largest hospitality venues.

Emily Watts

Director

Emily is the other half of Pearl Home Care Murrumbidgee ownership team. Emily grew up on a farm near Lockhart, NSW, and has always felt a deep connection to the Murrumbidgee region, which she proudly still calls home. After earning her Bachelor of Business Management from the International College of Management Sydney (ICMS), Emily embarked on a diverse and dynamic career. Over the past 10 years, she has expanded her expertise in management, marketing, business development, and recruitment, bringing passion and innovation to every role. Her professional journey is fuelled by her commitment to fostering growth and creating meaningful connections in her community.

Therese W

Clinical & Compliance Manager

With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Therese is a dedicated Registered Nurse who has made a significant impact across acute care, aged care, and primary health management. Beginning in 1994 in acute medical-surgical wards, Therese transitioned to a leadership role as a Charge Nurse in a small rural hospital, overseeing acute care and emergency services.
In 1999, Therese found a deep passion for aged care, stepping into the role of Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) in an aged care unit. Over the next eight years, she led with compassion and expertise, shaping high-quality care standards. In 2007, Therese transitioned into primary healthcare as a Practice Nurse before becoming the Clinical Manager, successfully leading the practice through AGPAL accreditation.

Expanding into regional healthcare, Therese joined the local Primary Health Network in 2010, supporting practice nurses across the region, managing immunisation programs, chronic disease cycle-of-care projects, and pioneering the first regional refugee health clinic alongside a visionary general practitioner. As part of a fly-in, fly-out initiative to Broken Hill, she provided essential clinical and governance support to general practices. In 2012, Therese returned to aged care management, working with providers to achieve successful accreditations and driving excellence in care delivery. A brief tenure in 2017 saw her join a cardiac specialist management team, overseeing HR and payroll for practices in Wagga and Sydney. However, the call of aged care was strong, leading to a return to facility management. In late 2024, Therese embarked on a sea change, shifting focus to home care services—bringing a wealth of experience, leadership, and a commitment to delivering exceptional aged care in the community.

Lilly K

Care Partner

With eight years of experience in aged care and four years working within the NDIS sector, Lilly has dedicated her career to supporting individuals in need. Her passion lies in mental health nursing, particularly in psychogeriatric care and dementia support and she finds immense fulfillment in providing care and advocating for those facing cognitive and psychological challenges. Lilly is currenlty studying to become a Registered Nurse and believes in the power of empathy, patience, and understanding.

Beginning in residential aged care, Matt completed nursing studies at TAFE before transitioning into management, where he furthered his expertise by studying business. Over the years, Matt has held various roles in operations, management, and business development, bringing a strategic, outcomes-focused approach to each position.

Currently, Matt is advancing his knowledge and skills by undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Case Management at Charles Sturt University. Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending quality time with friends, family, and pets. A passionate DIY renovator, often taking on more projects than intended, but always with enthusiasm. Matt is also dedicated to maintaining a fit and active lifestyle, regularly engaging in gym workouts and outdoor activities.

Joining our team in January 2025 as an Office Administrator, Kathleen plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services. Margaret K - Care Partner

Margaret is a proud Griffith local, having grown up on a rice farm in Benerembah. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Library and Information Science from Charles Sturt University while working full-time at the Griffith City Library. With 31 years of experience in local government across roles such as librarian, community development, and settlement services, Margaret has developed a wealth of expertise. Margaret also brings six years of experience with NSW Health Pathology and five years in aged care services, working with various providers.

A dedicated family person, Margaret is married, has four children, four grandchildren, and eagerly awaits another on the way. Passionate about supporting the local community, especially in health, Margaret has served as Chair of the Local Health Advisory Committee for over a decade. Her commitment was recognised in 2024 with both the MLHD Volunteer of the Year Award and the NSW Health Volunteer of the Year Award. Well-connected and highly regarded, Margaret is a respected figure in the Griffith community, with an extensive network and a deep commitment to making a difference.

Kathleen R - Office Administrator

Joining our team in January 2025 as an Office Administrator, Kathleen plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services. From supporting our dedicated staff to coordinating visits for our valued participants, she is instrumental in maintaining efficiency and enhancing the experience of those we care for. Jake E - Office Administrator & Scheduler
