Veterans’ Home Care
Our Veterans’ Home Care Program comprises a wide range of DVA home care services aimed at supporting qualifying veterans, war widows and widowers to live independently in their homes as long as possible.
These services are designed to assist beneficiaries with low level care needs, enabling them to continue living in their homes for longer while avoiding premature admission to residential care facilities.
Who can benefit from Veterans’ Home Care?
To receive services through the Veterans’ Home Care Program, the care seeker must be first assessed by a Veterans’ Home Care Assessment Agency which Pearl Home Care can assist with. To be entitled to receive the services, the care seeker must fulfil the following criteria:
- He/she must be a holder of a Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold or White card, living at home
- He/she must be an Australian veteran or mariner
- He/she must be a widower or widow of an Australian veteran or mariner.
